Clay as a material has an intrinsic unknown. This is what drew me in as a young artist. The humbling effect of material and fire creates a constant flow of ideas. Functional and sculptural works have kept me working and wondering at the potential of clay. Issues of the environment, ideas of isolation, the fit of a cup in ones hand, these are some of the influences informing my work.
